Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bike Maui. By booking a tour, renting equipment, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

Reservations

  • All reservations are subject to availability.
  • A valid credit card is required to confirm your booking.
  • Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking.
  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information during the reservation process.

Check-In

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour or rental time.
  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened experience or cancellation without refund.
  • All participants must complete any required waivers before participating.

Participant Requirements

Participants should:

  • Be physically capable of safely riding a bicycle.
  • Follow all instructions provided by Bike Maui staff and guides.
  • Wear the provided safety equipment when required.
  • Obey all local traffic laws and trail regulations.

Bike Maui reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone whose behavior may endanger themselves, other guests, or staff.

Weather

Tours operate in most weather conditions. However, Bike Maui reserves the right to delay, modify, reschedule, or cancel any activity due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Unsafe road or trail conditions
  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

If Bike Maui cancels a tour, guests will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.

Equipment Responsibility

Customers are responsible for all rented bicycles and equipment during the rental period.

Guests agree to:

  • Return all equipment in the same condition received (normal wear excepted).
  • Report any damage immediately.
  • Be responsible for repair or replacement costs resulting from negligence, misuse, theft, or loss.

Assumption of Risk

Cycling is an outdoor recreational activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Falls
  • Collisions
  • Changing weather conditions
  • Road hazards
  • Mechanical failures

By participating, guests voluntarily assume these risks.

Liability Waiver

By participating in Bike Maui activities, guests acknowledge that they have reviewed and accepted the required liability waiver prior to participation.

Photography

Bike Maui may photograph or record tours for promotional purposes. By participating, guests grant permission for the use of these images unless they notify staff before the activity begins.

Website Use

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Bike Maui and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

Changes to Reservations

Bike Maui reserves the right to substitute equipment, guides, routes, schedules, or tour itineraries when necessary for safety or operational reasons.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States.

Cancellation Policy

Guest Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled activity will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.

Rescheduling

Guests may reschedule their reservation at no charge when requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity, subject to availability.

Bike Maui Cancellations

Bike Maui may cancel or modify tours due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Unsafe riding conditions
  • Equipment issues
  • Operational requirements
  • Circumstances beyond our control

If Bike Maui cancels your reservation, you may choose:

  • A full refund, or
  • Reschedule to another available date.

Group Reservations

Groups of 10 or more may be subject to separate cancellation terms. Additional notice may be required for cancellations or changes.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
